7. Michael Rooker - Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer
You might recognize Michael Rooker as Merle from The Walking Dead, Daryl's older and significantly more racist brother. Indeed, the actor has experienced a bit of a career resurgence thanks to the popular zombie show, with an appearance in the much-awaited Guardians of the Galaxy film due out this summer. But back in the 80s, he was one of those rare creatures who was lucky enough to star in their film debut. Up until 1986, his only screen acting experience had been a bit part in the pilot of the forgotten procedural Crime Story. Then he got to play the eponymous Henry in Henry: The Portrait of a Serial Killer. His chilling portrayal of the real life serial killer Henry Lee Lucas helped catapult the film into cult classic territory, but unfortunately, it didn't do the same for his career. He's continued working steadily, but for some reason film studios have been reluctant to give him the opportunity to show off his considerable acting abilities.
