10 Actors That Should Play James Bond Next After Skyfall

By Brogan Morris /

9. Clive Owen (48)

Obviously too old now to play a Bond in his late 30s/early 40s (I assume this is how old 007€™s supposed to be, ignoring the ones where Roger Moore was a pensioner), Owen could still have a crack at the character if producers were to take a new, more interesting route. We€™ve had Bond€™s early days with the Craig era, so how about Bond: The Later Years? Since Owen was first touted as Pierce Brosnan€™s successor some years ago, he has aged and matured into a fine actor with a downtrodden, noirish demeanour (case in point: Children of Men). He could be the post-modern Bond, a look at 007 after all the years of philandering and alcoholism have taken their toll. Owen has the weathered good looks and wounded vulnerability to play 007 after his career has peaked.
