Probably the most obvious candidate as next in line to play the lothario spy, its still hard to imagine prolific genre-spanner Fassbender allowing himself to be tied down to a franchise as big as 007. Still, his Magneto in X-Men: First Class was basically a proto-Bond and Fassbender was subsequently the best thing about the film, something that happens so regularly now it appears he does it for sport. Fassbender has the necessary movie star charisma, indecently handsome features and unabashed charm to play a more classic version of Ian Flemings spy, and hes certainly used to womanising onscreen; in Steve McQueen shagathon Shame, Fassbender made Bond look celibate.
