4. Hanyu Zhang - Mr Six

There's a big chance that you neither recognise the name of Hanyu Zhang or the film Mr Six, but that doesn't distract from the achievement in prosthetics and make-up that transformed the veteran Chinese actor for this actioner.

The crime drama is a sort of mash-up of John Wick and The Magnificent Seven, as the titular aged kingpin brings his old criminal gang back together to protect his son from an upstart young street gang. Zhang played Scrapper, one of the older gang members and on the verge of hitting 50 during production, he got some assistance thanks to an incredible bit of prosthetics that gave him the lean, wiry look of a bare-knuckle boxer.

That prosthetics team deserved a raise.
