10 Actors Who HATED Their Roles In Famous Movies
From bad scripts to difficult directors, some roles prove regrettable to the world's biggest stars.
For many of us, acting in some of the biggest and best films would be a dream job. But, for those who do it for a living, it can be just like any other job, with good days and bad. While many roles are loved by those who star in them, there are some which are less than ideal.
Whether it was down to production, a director's choices or how the actor themselves performed, some roles are looked back on with anger and frsutration.
From Spider-Man to Obi-Wan, here are some of the most iconic roles hated by the actors that portrayed them.
10. Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart - Twilight
Starting off with a two-for-one, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are both well known for their criticisms of the series that made them famous.
Before they were indie darlings, Pattinson and Stewart were as mainstream as young actors could be. However the constant media attention, worship from fans, and the creative drain of franchise led film-making left both of them feeling very negative towards the experience, despite the success that came with it.
Never hiding their contempt for the series, they often openly spoke negatively about it in interviews, calling the series "weird" and its fans "crazy". They had issues with most elements of the series, from plot holes and character issues to Stewart's uncomfortable hair extensions. There was even a Tumblr page devoted to interviews where Pattinson criticised the series, highlighting his funniest and most scathing remarks.
Since the final film, The Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn, Part 2 (yes, what a mouthful) in 2012, both actors looked to distance themselves from their characters. Fortunately for everyone else, this has led them to make some of the most interesting indie films of the last few years.
