7. John Krasinski

Like both Bateman and Glover, John Krasinski's big break came from a sitcom. He appeared as Jim Halpert for nine seasons in the American Office.

Krasinski's time on The Office making non-verbal cues at the camera paid off, as he would go on to direct A Quiet Place. The 2018 horror film follows a family trying to hide from monsters who can hear almost anything, so they try to stay silent in order to survive. Ironically, Jim's sci-fi loving enemy Dwight Schrute would probably be a big fan.

Krasinski has also directed the film's sequel, A Quiet Place Part II. The film was supposed to come out 8 March but was recently delayed.
