It seems a Hollywood movie cant get a green light without a romance being featured. Andy Garcia played inspirational teacher Michelle Pfeiffers husband until his whole supporting character was cut. The love interest wasnt in the original screenplay and even Garcia was unsure if his character was necessary, turns out everyone else thought so too. Pfeiffer tried to keep his scenes but it would be an unfortunate nail in Garcias acting coffin, he didnt appear in a hit until six years later with Oceans Eleven.
