9. Rose Byrne - Dark Phoenix
Considering that Moira MacTaggert (Rose Byrne) has been a fairly prominent mainstay in the X-Men prequel franchise, it seemed like a sure bet that she'd end up returning for what's reportedly the final entry into this continuity of films.
However, Rose Byrne herself confirmed that she sadly won't be appearing in Dark Phoenix: "Unfortunately, Moira is not showing up. I wish she was. I had such fun on X-Men: Apocalypse. I love that cast."
Unless Disney unexpectedly decides to roll the current X-Men cast into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it looks like we unknowingly saw the last of Byrne's MacTaggert back in Apocalypse.
What It Means For The Film:
It's not a deal-breaker by any means, but Moira was an entertaining and likeable character, and Rose Byrne classes-up pretty much any movie she's in.
The fact her memories were restored by Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) in Apocalypse seemed to suggest the character's arc was far from finished, but it seems likely she'll either end up retired off-screen with a line or two of dialogue, or maybe just ignored completely.
Much like The Predator, though, test screening reports indicate the movie's in pretty rough shape, so Moira's conspicuous absence could just be the tip of the iceberg, really.
