Let this sink in for a moment; Jonah Hill already has more Academy Award nominations than Samuel L. Jackson and Gary Oldman. Although still best known for his comedic output, the actor has impressively managed to score nods for Best Supporting Actor for his two most high-profile dramatic roles to date. At the age of 30, Hill is surely coming to the end of his career as the star of raucous R-rated comedies, although the impending success of 22 Jump Street will ensure that the offers will keep coming from within the genre. However, as talented and successful as he has been in comedy, it is only a matter of time before the actor starts taking on more frequent dramatic roles. Given the enthusiastic reception to his performances in Moneyball and The Wolf of Wall Street, the next few years will likely see Jonah Hill establish himself as a solid supporting player in the drama genre and will eventually culminate in a win for Best Supporting Actor one day. Who knows, maybe he can keep collaborating with Martin Scorsese and become the Joe Pesci to Leonardo diCaprio's Robert De Niro...
