10. Tom Cruise - Zombieland

Zombie movies certainly provide actors with an easy opportunity to make a sneaky cameo while hidden in plain sight, given the transformative makeup job required for anyone to resemble a member of the undead.

And because Bill Murray making a very overt - and hilarious - cameo in Zombieland as himself wasn't enough, many viewers have convinced themselves over the years that none other than Tom Cruise also makes a sly appearance in the horror-comedy.

At roughly 65 minutes into the film, just as the heroes arrive at the Pacific Playland amusement park, the camera lingers on a long-haired zombie who is lured towards the park by the bright lights, and who actually bares a pretty decent resemblance to Cruise.

Take away the long hair and gory makeup and the actor's facial structure is totally similar to the Top Gun: Maverick mega-star, such that countless posts have been made on social media over the years insisting that Cruise made a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo.

Given that Cruise had a legendary secret cameo in Tropic Thunder the year prior, it certainly didn't seem outside the realm of plausibility for him to also show up in Zombieland, yet given that Cruise's presence has never been confirmed by anyone associated with the production, we can chalk it up to mere wishful thinking.
