10 Alternate Timeline Movies The MCU Should Make

7. Star-Lord And The Ravagers

Since Peter Quill first appeared on Morag in Guardians of the Galaxy, the character has become one of the most popular of the entire franchise. After picking up the Orb in 2014, Star-Lord quickly goes on to meet Gamora and the other soon to be Guardians and leaves his old life behind.

While this is obviously good news, not only for the galaxy but the audience too, we get to see very little of Peter Quill's carefree, woman in every port, outlaw lifestyle with Yondu and the rest of the Ravagers. Wouldn't it be fantastic to see how he got his moniker and why he calls himself 'legendary outlaw'? Well thanks to Thanos and Rhodey, we could.

When Rhodey and Nebula go back to Morag in 2014, the former knocks Star-Lord clean out, stopping him from reaching the Orb, and later Thanos and Gamora depart this timeline entirely to fight the Avengers in 2023. Thus when Quill wakes up, three of the key factors leading to the Guardians forming are gone. Without the Orb, he never heads to Xandar to sell it to the broker, never meets Gamora, and never crosses the universe to fight Thanos' puppet Ronan for the Power Stone.

The MCU could simply follow this timeline and show what Quill's life was like before.
