FXLike Jesse Plemons, Patrick Wilson also has the good fortune to be currently appearing in FX's second season of Fargo, undoubtedly one of the best dramas - if not outright best of the year - on television. His acting here is reminiscent of James Stewart's stoic and morally upright persona, and it's perfectly pitched. Wilson has a classic everyman kind of look which has secured him countless supporting roles in a range of genres, but rarely has he had an opportunity to truly shine and define a role for himself - the most notable exception came in 2014 with his performance in Stretch, in which he plays a limousine driver who gets caught up in web of intrigue in Los Angeles after attempting to steal business from a rival company. Stretch not only proved that Patrick Wilson is more than capable of holding a feature film on the strength of his performance, but also that he has a range rarely exploited. While the upcoming sequel to The Conjuring is unlikely to see him push the envelope. a strong reception from his latest film Bone Tomahawk is sure to keep him on the right track.
