10. Alien: Covenant - 'Walter' Is Actually David

Is this a predictable plot twist? Yes. Is this supposed to be a predictable plot twist? Also, yes.

However, it was necessary for an abundance of reasons, the utmost being that it acted as the accelerant for the charming yet chilling David (wonderfully portrayed by Michael Fassbender) and his quest for further death and destruction to proceed as planned.

Prometheus and Alien: Covenant aren't perfect by any means, but they're almost certainly underrated. The latter began to incorporate more bloodshed, chaos, and subsequent carnage that fans of the original films could relate to. 

With multiple Covenant crew members slain and various 'Morphs' conquered, normality is seemingly restored as Katherine Waterston's Daniels is safely secured for cryogenic slumber by Walter... or is she? 

Said 'Walter' is revealed to be none other than his villainous predecessor, David. 

Although occurring off-screen, there's a probable chance that the American android met what only one could describe as a grisly demise at the hands of his fellow Weyland-Yutani subservient.

It may not be the most earth-shattering twist you've ever seen, but Fassbender's fabulous performance exhibits just the right amount of nuance that blurs the lines perfectly between the conspicuous and inconspicuous.
