10. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 - The Final Battle Was A Premonition

This was really, really clever.

The novel of Breaking Dawn has been criticized over the years for its completely anticlimactic ending, in which the Cullens and the Voltouri (the cruel vampire government) have a conversation and then part ways without having a showdown. Breaking Dawn Part 2 came up with a really smart way to work around this.

Alice Cullen (Ashley Greene), one of the vampires, has used her ability to look into the future throughout the franchise, and she convinces Voltouri leader Aro (Michael Sheen) to retreat by showing him a vision of a violent battle in which he is killed. So, even though the battle doesn't really happen, we still get to see it - it's pretty awesome too, and by far the best part of the movie.

In regards to the Twilight Saga, the first film was perfectly OK, but the sequels were all godawful and were consistently dragged down by the numbingly awful acting and writing. Breaking Dawn Part 2 might've been the best since the first movie, yet it was still weak and lifeless, so the fact that it did something this intelligent was quite the pleasant surprise. Who'd have thought a Twilight sequel had it in them?
