10 Amazing Supporting Characters You Wish Movies Were Centred On
10. Cliff Booth - Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood
With Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie, Once Upon a Time... In Hollywood boasts star power the likes of which few others can. In spite of Robbie putting in an outstanding performance with limited screen time, and an Oscar-nominated outing from DiCaprio, Brad Pitt was the best thing about this film.
It was DiCaprio's Rick Dalton who was the story's lead character, and it was in his arc more than anywhere else that Tarantino's homage to Hollywood existed, however in terms of importance to the overall story surrounding the Charles Manson murders, Pitt's Cliff Booth was far more integral.
In his Academy Award-winning role, Pitt played one of the coolest on-screen characters ever. He was a badass, he was incredibly funny, and showcased every last ounce of his talents.
It was reported that Tarantino's long awaited tenth outing, The Movie Critic, would have continued on from Once Upon a Time, and would even have brought back Pitt as Cliff Booth. However, with the recent news that this entire project has been scrapped, audiences may not get to see the character step into a completely deserved lead role. Yes, Once Upon a Time... In Hollywood is a fantastic movie, but it would have arguably been better with Pitt in the lead.
