Wreck-It Ralph is one of the most intelligent and subversive animated movies to come from a major studio in recent years, and some of the best work that Disney has done in close to two decades. The movie revolves around a video game bad guy, the title character, who is fed up of being a baddie and wants more out of life. This sends him on a wacky adventure throughout the arcade in which he resides, visiting different game worlds and ultimately threatening his and everyone else's very existence. Managing to be a love letter to classic video games while also serving as an entertaining adventure for the uninitiated, Wreck-It Ralph hit all the markers, and was a significant critical and commercial success. The filmmakers have already talked about ideas for a sequel, though officially the movie has not yet been greenlit, so we're still waiting on the announcement. Fingers crossed!
