What was that movie about the dinosaurs? The Land Before Time? No. The other one. The other Land Before Time movies? No. No, the one about the dinosaurs that come to New York City? ... Godzilla? No. In this movie, a scientist goes back in time and feeds four dinosaurs his brain grain, which renders the beasts intelligent (meaning they can speak, experience emotions, and learn) and non-violent. The five of them then travel back to the present time in order for the dinosaurs to meet some children. In the mix, we are thrown the scientists evil brother who wants to use the dinosaurs as destructive sideshow acts and has a strange ability to tap into peoples nightmares and hypnotize. The dinosaurs persevere, however, and all is made right. This movie may as well have gone into the Amblin Entertainment vault, because I havent heard or seen anything of it since 1993. I thought it was a really good story that should have excelled, especially considering the success of Jim Hensons Dinosaurs television show, also based on putting dinosaurs in a good light for children. It didnt stick, though, and is now lost for future generations.
