10 Awesome Horror Villains Trapped In TERRIBLE Movies
3. Jeremy Melton - Valentine
Where slasher movie villains are concerned, a great mask can go a long way - just ask Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees.
And while Jeremy Melton, the villain of 2001's Valentine, certainly doesn't sit alongside the crowned kings of the genre, that Cupid mask sure is insanely creepy.
Having the killer wear a cherubic mask only makes their brutal, murderous rampage that much more unnerving, and to prove they've got a little sense of humour, they even take a page out of Cupid's book at one point by offing one of their victims with a trio of arrows. Nice.
Oh, and to ramp up the creep factor a little more, Melton also bleeds from the nose any time he kills someone.
Yet in its entirety, Valentine is undeniable schlock - a dead-ordinary slasher flick arriving in a post-Scream era where self-awareness was all the rage.
Valentine played itself totally straight, which made its array of ridiculous twists and turns that much tougher to take seriously.
It has its cult of fans for sure, but it's the creepy-ass mask that everyone still remembers.
