This one really depends on your interpretation of The Shining. The general consensus is that no-one understands The Shining, but that something supernatural is likely afoot at the Overlook Hotel, influencing Jack Torrances descent into madness. But imagine if the Overlook isnt in any way haunted, and that its all naked hags and lavish 1920s parties included in the new caretakers head. That would probably make Jack Torrance the most batshit member of this list. If the events of The Shining are all part of his imagination, Torrance is a very sick man indeed, and presenting him with a Rorschach test would probably result in some of the most jaw-dropping revelations anyones ever heard. The same principle for Torrance could easily be applied to Donnie Darko, who, if he isnt a time-travelling superhero with the power of second sight, is basically a murdering arsonist prone to hallucination.
