Ron Howard serves up one of his very best films in recent years with this electrifyingly entertaining sports film covering the famous feud between racing icons James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) and Niki Lauda (Daniel Bruhl).

Now, while Hemsworth is terrific as Thor, he's not really had much of a chance to prove his actual acting chops over the years, at least until this movie came along. Soaring above basically all expectations, he is note-perfect as the dashing, fast-living British playboy Hunt, while Bruhl gives an awards-worthy performance as Lauda.

You needn't be a fan of racing to enjoy the break-neck driving sequences nor the riveting competitiveness between the two men. Marvelous.
