10 Best "Oh Sh*t, He's Dead And I'm Next" Moments In Horror Movies

10. Blood Rage - Julie

It may not get talked about as much as certain other slashers, but man, 1987's Blood Rage is such a fun horror picture.

Here, we have an opening act that sees two twin boys exploring a drive-in movie theater while their mother makes out with her date. From out of nowhere, that exploring sees one of these kids brutally murder some fella with an axe while he's having sex with his girlfriend. This twisted twin would plant the axe on his meek and mild brother, with this innocent bro being locked up in a mental asylum.

Skip ahead ten years, and deranged twin Terry (Mark Soper) is getting twitchy when his mother gets engaged, which conveniently coincides with sane twin Todd (also Mark Soper) escaping from his nuthouse abode. And with that, Blood Rage is off to the races as the body count starts ticking over nicely.

One person to bite the bullet here, is Bill (legendary SFX man Ed French).

Having been on a date with Julie (Jayne Bentzen), Bill is back at Julie's place and goes to answer the door while she slips into something more comfortable. Waiting for him is an eerie Terry, who attacks him.

When Julie opens the door herself, she finds Bill's decapitated head and realises a similar fate awaits her; a fate that ends with her later being found with a machete wedged in her dead body.
