Sure, Die Harder is basically the same movie as the first Die Hard, only set at an airport and minus Alan Rickman, but it's still a Christmas movie for guys! You can't have Christmas without John McClane after all, and the producers of Die Hard 2 wisely stuck to the same formula as the first one. In fact, it's almost as if they took the first script, changed a few set pieces, and turned it in. It probably took about forty-eight hours of editing. What you're left with is a pure Christmas classic, topped only by the next entry.
