10 Best Fat Kids In Movie History

3. Hamilton "Ham" Porter - The Sandlot

Larry Musgrove (Patrick Renna€™s goalie character from The Big Green) deserves an honorable mention here but The Sandlot is such a superior overall movie that number 3 has got to go to Ham. Like Thud Butt, Hamilton Porter is part of a larger ensemble but still manages to really shine. Ham is the catcher on the team but he€™s also the premier trash-talker of the group, making sure other neighborhood kids know who they€™re messing with. His love for Babe Ruth outshines everybody€™s (except for maybe Benny€™s) which is evidenced in the €œwhere are they now€ epilogue: Ham grows up to be a professional wrestler called The Great Hambino. Is this fate more or less glamorous than marrying Wendy Peffercorn and having nine kids? Unclear. But what is clear is Ham Porter is a fine wordsmith, and for that reason he alone gets two choice quotes instead of one. Choice Quotes: €œYou play ball like a girl!€ and €œYou€™re killing me, Smalls.€
