11. Hawkeye Vs. Captain America - Captain America: The Winter Soldier

More of an honorary mention rather than a full-on deleted scene, Captain America: The Winter Soldier nearly gave us the marvellous sight of Hawkeye and the Sentinel of Liberty doing battle throughout Washington, DC.

Of course, Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton made his MCU debut tangling with another of Earth's Mightiest Heroes - that being Hawkeye's role in trapping Thor for S.H.I.E.L.D. in the God of Thunder's debut outing - and The Winter Soldier was meant to see Barton butting heads with Steve Rogers.

As directors Anthony and Joe Russo explained on the Screen Rant Underground Podcast, this scene was sadly unable to be filmed due to a scheduling conflict for Renner.

What the scene would've involved, though, was Hawkeye being tasked with helping S.H.I.E.L.D. bring down Cap as the sequel's plot starts to unravel. This would've been a major chase sequence, with Clint firing a bunch of arrows in Rogers' direction as he closed in on his Avengers buddy. Once Hawkeye finally caught Steve, he'd whisper to him that S.H.I.E.L.D. had put a tracker on Captain America, before telling Rogers to punch him so that the watching S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier wouldn't become suspicious.
