7. Deadpool Murders Ryan Reynolds - Deadpool 2
Picking just one awesome death scene from Deadpool 2 sure isn't easy - especially with that riotous X-Force scene in the mix - but nothing quite topped the shock and awe of that meta post-credits murder.
Once Cable's (Josh Brolin) time travel device is fixed, the Merc with a Mouth (Ryan Reynolds) uses it to travel back in time and "fix the timeline", allowing him to save some lives and even slaughter the X-Men Origins: Wolverine version of Deadpool.
But the pièce de résistance? Wade then travels back to the eve of Ryan Reynolds preparing to film Green Lantern and shoots him in the head, following up with a cheeky, "You're welcome, Canada."
You've gotta respect Reynolds' ability to mock himself on screen, though literally murdering himself for our entertainment was surely one step more meta than just about anybody expected. Bravo.
