Se7en might be the most influential credits sequence of any David Fincher film, but it's his titles in Fight Club that provide the most visceral punch. The hard-hitting electronic score from The Dust Brothers give this sequence the propulsive power it needs, as we're propelled through the apparent fear zone of the brain, skating through various synapses as we eventually exit the brain by way of a pore in Edward Norton's forehead. It's a sequence that for the most part is devoid of context, only adding to the mystique and accentuating the feeling of brilliant confusion that composes a lot of the film's run-time. Though perhaps not among the more iconic credits on this list, its sonic quality gets us pumped up while the entrancing visuals and appealing type-face make this journey through the brain more exciting than we could ever have expected. Given the film's central theme of mental illness, it is, of course, totally apt as well.
