10 Best Movie Posters Of 2017

10. Get Out

One of the year's most talked-about films, comedian Jordan Peele's debut as writer-director proved to be an impeccable balance between commercial accessibility and critic-pleasing sophistication. While the horror genre has frequently dealt with complex sociopolitical questions, this has rarely been quite so overt as it is in Get Out, which tackles the current state of race relations in the US in a truly eye-opening manner.

This arresting poster is an ideal representation of the film. The blunt contrast of black and white clearly reflects the key themes - and beyond that, it's a tremendously atmospheric, eerie image, evoking the unnervingly weird mood of Peele's film overall, including but not limited to the pivotal scene it references.

The poster also leaves us with no mistake that the hitherto largely unknown Daniel Kaluuya is absolutely the star of the show here. Get Out's success owes a lot to his powerhouse central performance, and further major roles must be in the offing for this talented young British actor.
