5. Gabrielle Union (Breaking In)

Universal

For the most part this low-rent home invasion thriller is a so-bad-it's-good laugh riot, but you have to give star Gabrielle Union some credit: she absolutely committed to the role of a mother desperately fighting to rescue her children from a gang of burglars.

Union doesn't dare to look down on the material and throws herself into it both literally and figuratively.

She's completely convincing in her quest to overpower the (admittedly bone-headed) thieves, and more than anything, you'll likely be left wishing she found a better genre vehicle to star in.

Without a lesser actress in the lead role, Breaking In wouldn't be worth even a single, hungover watch, but thanks to her spirited, vibrant work, it actually graduates to trashy fun on occasion.
