10 Best Shia LaBeouf Film Performances

10. Holes

Holes was the movie that really started it all for the future Hollywood star. After playing the goofy yet loveable main character on Even Stevens, a kid show on Disney, he took the helm of his first box office hit right as the show was ending.

In Holes, we see Shia playing the confused adolescent Stanley Yelnats (yes, it is the same name spelled backward). From a young age, it was obvious that Shia had some serious acting chops.

In his very first Hollywood outing, he carries the main character of the film through a journey that is still in the minds of many millennials who aren't likely to forget Camp Green Lake, the film's main setting.

Not only does Shia show an impressive range for someone so young, he holds his own against the antagonist of the film, labeled simply as "The Warden." The Warden is played by Sigourney Weaver, a mainstay in Hollywood blockbusters for over four decades.

Audiences knew right away that they were seeing something special, although perhaps no one realized just how diverse and immersive of a journey that Shia would undergo in his roles to come.
