Is Stan Lee the most universally loved man in the world? Probably. As the co-creator of many Marvel properties, including Spider-Man, the X-Men and the Fantastic Four, he's become a legend in the comic book industry. On top of that, with the huge popularity of films based on Marvel franchises, he's become a movie legend too, appearing in nearly every film based off of a Marvel character or group. These cameos range from small bit-parts in the background to center stage, limelight hogging moments. The range of roles he's played border on the bizarre: a security guard; Hugh Hefner; himself; a hot dog salesman; a juror... Even at the age of 91, there's little stopping him. So with that in mind, here's a list of the ten best Stan Lee moments in Marvel films.

10. Stan Lee €“ Postman (Fantastic Four)

Interestingly enough, this is the first (and so far, only) time that Stan has appeared as one of his own creations. In 2005's Fantastic Four, he makes a brief cameo as mailman Willie Lumpkin, handing mail to Reed Richards while telling him "it's good to have you back, sir." Much like his movie counterpart, comic book Willie Lumpkin appears to hand fan mail to the Fantastic Four as far back as 1963. He was originally created as a stand-alone comic strip character but was later introduced into Marvel continuity by Stan and long-time collaborator Jack Kirby.
