10 Best Superhero Movie Moments Of The Last Decade

10. Kick-Ass (2010) - Hit-Girl's Introduction

The most talked-about, controversial, and bad-ass moment in this beloved caped caper. Long before we had Deadpool's expletive-filled, violent, R-rated delights to feast upon, we had Kick-Ass.

The success of Kick-Ass might seem modest compared to the lofty heights that other R-rated superhero films have reached in the last few years, but its impact upon the genre and the influence it had on the development of future films cannot be denied.

Chloe Grace Moretz was only 12 years old at the time of filming when she played the part of Hit-Girl, and the first time we see her character in action would have been shocking enough if we were just watching a child stab a man through the back. But the following line she delivers, dropping a C-bomb as she playfully lines up her next targets and gleefully makes quick work of the dials it all up. It's equally as shocking as it is awesome.

This is the standout moment of the film for sheer ballsy brilliance, and it deserves to be remembered for defying both conventions and further innovating the way we approached superhero films in the 21st century.
