10. Lorne Malvo - Fargo

Played by Billy Bob Thornton, Lorne Malvo was the cunning, heartless hit man in the first, incredibly successful season of Fargo. Malvo was a highly skilled killer and very intelligent, constantly outsmarting the cops, and staying one step ahead of anyone who was out to stop him.

The most terrifying part of Malvo's personality however, was the apparent pleasure he took in manipulating people and bringing out their darkest side, as he did with the show's protagonist, Lester Nygaard.

Malvo murdered around 20 people throughout the season. He also kidnapped blackmailed, and threatened anyone who crossed his path. Billy Bob Thornton, with his well-known scary, intimidating aura, fit right into the role of Malvo, and brought out the character's collected insanity perfectly.
