7. The Simpsons Will Celebrate Milestone With All-LEGO Episode

Five years ago The Simpsons became the longest-running American prime-time scripted television series, and shows no signs of slowing, currently in its 25th season. Earlier this month LEGO released a highly detailed, licensed LEGO Simpsons set, featuring the iconic Simpsons family home with minifigures of Homer, Bart, Marge, Lisa, Maggie, and their neighbor Ned Flanders. Now, the show will commemorate its landmark 550th episode, called "Brick Like Me," by making it an all-LEGO installment. According to TV Line, "Homer wakes up in a world where his family and everyone in Springfield are made of LEGOs. He must then 'put together' how he got there, and somehow figure out how to get home." This news of course comes hot on the heels of The LEGO Movie's impressive $200 million box office haul (in just two weeks), and the writers of the show no doubt want to take advantage of the opportunity to bring their newly-released minifigures to life on screen. The episode will air on FOX on May 4th, 2014.
