6. Deadpool 2 Will Set Up X-Force

Fox's X-Force movie is back on track after years in purgatory following confirmation that Drew Goddard has been tapped to write and direct, and it will likely take another set closer to reality when Deadpool 2 arrives.

The mouthy merc's sequel is the perfect vehicle to set up X-Force, with Cable and Domino (team members in the comics) set to make their cinematic debuts. Plus there's no reason why Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead can't be part of the movie version of the militant mutant team.

As for how Deadpool will set up the movie, this is where the merc's fondness for fourth wall-smashing will come in. No doubt he'll rock up in post-credits, take a cheeky swipe at Marvel and DC films, and literally announce that his next film will be X-Force.

When Fox was putting X-Force together almost half a decade ago with Jeff Wadlow attached, the team's lineup comprised Cable, Domino, Warpath, Cannonball and a hooded woman who resembles Rogue. No doubt that will change between now and when the film is released, but expect the roster to begin taking shape in Deadpool 2.
