10 Bold Predictions About The Post-Justice League DCEU
10. Black Manta Will Be Luthor's Next Recruit
Justice League's second post-credits scene teased the formation of the Injustice League, a band of baddies led by Lex Luthor. Deathstroke was revealed as his first recruit but the other members are yet to rear their villainous heads.
Marvel Studios assembled the Avengers during Phase One of the MCU with a series of Nick Fury cameos, and it looks like Warner Bros will do something similar in its upcoming DC films, with Jesse Eisenberg's villain popping up in the likes of Aquaman and Shazam! to add to his band of rogues.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II's Black Manta, who will serve as the big bad in Arthur Curry's 2019 solo film, will likely be his next recruit in Aquaman's post-credits sequence. The aquatic bad guy has past history with the Injustice League in the comic books, and Luthor will need somebody capable of taking on the Atlantean in the seas.
Eisenberg cameos are likely to be a running theme in the next lot of DC films. He could potentially add Black Adam to his ranks in Shazam's post-credits, although The Rock's villain won't feature in the main film. Flashpoint, if it ever gets a release date, could see the Reverse Flash added to his teamsheet.
Both Joker and Harley Quinn have featured in the Injustice League in the comic books, but given the situation regarding Jared Leto's clouded future in the DC Extended Universe, their involvement is by no means a given.
