8. Darkseid Will Debut In Green Lantern Corps

Darkseid was teased as the DCEU's big bad in Batman v Superman, so many fans were expecting him to make his first appearance in Justice League's post-credits. That obviously didn't happen, but there will be other opportunities to introduce him.

Green Lantern Corps will add cosmic scope to the franchise when it launches in 2020, and while a more traditional Lantern villain such as Sinestro is likely to serve as its main antagonist, the Apokoliptian warlord could debut in a post-credits stinger.

Given the themes associated with Green Lantern and his intergalactic reach, it makes sense for the movie to debut Darkseid in a Thanos-like capacity, biding his time before he invades Earth in a future film, in a bid to succeed where Steppenwolf failed.

Since Justice League teased the formation of the Injustice League in its post-credits, that movie won't necessarily be Justice League 2, though there's always a chance the heroes could have Luthor's gang and Darkseid to contend with in their next team-up.

More likely, he's being saved for Justice League 3, or possibly Man of Steel 2.
