10. Snoke - Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker

Snoke rivals the Night King for having one of the most anticlimactic deaths in recent memory. However, there could still be some narrative redemption if he were to return in some way.

Despite this link though, their deaths are almost polar opposites in every other way. The Long Night wasn’t as epic as it promised, with Game Of Thrones pulling the rug out on what seemed like guaranteed character deaths.

Snoke’s death though led to one of the most cinematic Star Wars duels ever, with Rey and Kylo taking on his guards. Speaking of Kylo, it made perfect sense for him to kill Snoke, but the way he tricked him so easily didn’t seem earned. Various theories abound that Snoke allowed it to happen deliberately, or was using a decoy, but both seem like they’re covering up poor writing.

In contrast, the Night King dying to the Valyrian steel catspaw followed a well established weakness, but Arya had no clear link to his story whatsoever.

Both characters do though share a sense of emptiness; we never learned much of their origins, their motivations or their ultimate purpose. If Snoke returns in The Rise Of Skywalker, he will surely rectify that.
