6. Michael Chiklis - Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer

Having graduated from bit parts and never-seen roles to dominating The Shield, a lot was expected of man mountain Michael Chiklis when he went back to films.

Unfortunately for him, though the first Fantastic Four was a success (mostly because it wasn't the catastrophe a lot of people thought it might be), he was lumbered with a pantomime character who was just too silly to make for a strong launching pad into more films.

The sequel was dismal, and while he didn't dance as embarrassingly as Ioan Gruffudd, his movie career was all but buried under all that rock.

What He Did Next

Chiklis mostly retreated to TV - much like co-star Gruffudd - though nothing has had the same kind of longevity or success as The Shield.
