3. Mister Sinister - X-Men: Days Of Future Past
The Set-Up
After the Wolverine sequence in X-Men: Apocalypse (which, remember, made no sense), the post-credits scene saw the clean-up team getting rid of bodies and generally hiding the Weapon X fall-out. A mysterious man is then shown putting vials of Logan's blood into a briefcase marked Essex Corps.
That looked like it was setting up the arrival of Mister Sinister in a sequel and some clones, possibly.
But...
While clones did appear in Logan, there was no mention of Essex Corps or Mister Sinister and the follow-up to Apocalypse will follow the Dark Phoenix story arc, so it's unlikely we'll see the villain there either.
Maybe Fox are just playing the long game while they still have control over the X-Men rights? Or maybe they just dropped the Mister Sinister idea altogether?
