10 DC Heroes Who Deserve Movie Deals (And Who Should Play Them)

7. Raven - Amanda Seyfried

Amanda Seyfried is one of those actresses who feels like she should have been in a superhero movie already. She tackled sci-fi action in In Time, comedic challenges in Ted 2 and Mean Girls, and deeper character material in Les Misérables and While We€™re Young. With that CV behind her, it€™s clear that she€™s more than capable of slotting into a comic book movie universe. If DC want to snap Seyfried up, Raven could be the perfect role to cast her in. This human/demon hybrid would allow Seyfried to play around with a multifaceted and dark character. She€™d get to expand her action skillset, too, in utilising Raven€™s telekinesis, clairvoyance, telepathy, teleportation and precognition on the big screen. In the same way in which Doctor Strange is set to add a new side to the MCU, releasing a Raven film could allow DC to explore darker and more supernatural themes and ideas. This would offer a stark alternative to their current slate, all of which seem like quite safe superhero choices. Seyfried has enough recognisability among cinemagoers to help negate the lesser-known nature of the Raven property, and to help get a few bums on cinema seats. And if the movie is well written and directed, it could become a bankable on-going franchise for Warner Bros and DC.
