10 DCEU Fan Theories You Need To Hear

10. The DCEU Will Merge With The Arrowverse

DC's TV-based Arrowverse has arguably been a bigger success than its cinematic universe, with Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl all proving small-screen hits.

The two universes have remained separate so far, with different actors playing the same characters in each, but one theory suggests that won't be the case indefinitely.

Scores of fans believe DC and Warner Bros will merge their movie and TV worlds with an adaptation of the Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline, a bumper comic book event which introduced the concept of multiple realities playing host to alternate versions of the same heroes and villains.

This would be an ambitious gambit for the studios and a way for them to beat Marvel to the punch, with the House of M also opting to keep its TV and film universes apart.

There is some evidence to support the theory. The blood-red sky in the Justice League trailer suggests something is amiss with the DC Multiverse, perhaps foreshadowing a future Crisis movie.

Merging the DCEU and Arrowverse could be messy, but the fact we'd have two versions of some characters isn't as problematic as the theory's opponents claim.

Multiverse stories are all about alternate versions of the same heroes and villains being thrown into the blender together, so a movie-TV crossover isn't off the table, however difficult to pull of it might be.
