7. Stanley Kubrick- Fear and Desire

While Stanley Kubrick's Fear and Desire (1953 is not as famous as his later masterpieces, it nevertheless is famous for being his first feature length film, as well as Kubrick's least favourite of his own works. He considered it amateurish and disowned it after its release. Kubrick made sure the negative print of the film was never re-released. It remained a largely unseen film due to there being only one legal print of the film at the Kodak archives- but it was recently shown on TCM and has been given a blu-ray release.
