One wouldnt think that a PG-13 rated version of a 1960s sitcom (and previous comic strip) would offer much grotesque gore, but alas one scene played entirely for laughs of course does offer buckets and buckets worth of blood. Young Wednesday and Pugsley Addams perform a scene from Shakespeares Hamlet for their schools talent show. It features the two teens engaging in a sword fight that turns into a bloodbath. First Pugsley slices open a fake wound in his sisters arm sending a pulsing spray of stage blood all over the place. Next comes Pugsleys sliced off arm and Wednesdays gashed neck which begins comically spraying all over the audience. Those in the auditorium are horrified, expect for the Addams kids parents who radiantly applaud their childrens gift for the macabre.
