Another gory moment, another Steven Spielberg production. 1982s iconic Poltergeist is a movie that pretty much scared everyone as a kid. Its got some pretty intense moments from the tree trying to eat that kid, to that clown trying to strangle him later on, and the part when all the corpses begin to pop out of their caskets. Nothing is more over the top gross as the part when one of the psychic investigators wakes up in the middle of the night. He goes into the kitchen for a midnight snack and ends up munching on a chicken drumstick covered in maggots. And then a steak begins to crawl across the kitchen counter. But the piece de resistance is when he runs into the bathroom to vomit from the sight of crawling meat and begins to pick the skin off of his face. Its pretty gross watching him take chunks off his face as they go plop, plop, plop into the sink. Its so graphic, but kind of lame by todays standards, Im frankly surprised it made it into the film.
