5. The Fox and the Hound

Although not one of the Disney films that I experienced most often in my childhood 'The Fox and the Hound' is another title that will forever be connected with classic Disney Studios. It is another Disney film, however that drew its inspiration from a book. Like Bambi, a life in the woods Daniel P. Mannix€™s novel of the same name also told a slightly less pleasant story. In the Disney film we see a pair of furry rapscallions who become friends, not knowing that they should be natural enemies. In the book the Fox kills the hound€™s canine-father figure so is hunted through the woods by an angry ex-owner and the titular hound.
