Here's a scene so embarrassing that it actually makes me actively rage, as Mike (Jon Favreau) ill-advisedly decides to make a drunken phone call to a girl he just met. Having just gotten out of a 6-year relationship, Mike has no idea how courtship rituals work, and calls her a staggering six times in three minutes, leaving increasingly desperate messages that essentially make him sound like a clingy psychopath, going from hope to despair to more hope, and then rejection. The woman ends up answering the final call, having listened to all five prior messages, and promptly demands that he never call her again. It's an embarrassing scene because it's totally authentic; we've all sent drunk text messages or made drunk phone calls that we later ended up regretting, and so this one rings stingingly true.
