10. Alien vs. Predator

As soon as a Xenomorph skull was glimpsed in the background of Predator 2 in 1990, the two iconic extra-terrestrials were always destined to crossover on the big screen.

Admittedly, there's an awful lot of filler if you decide to take the plunge and watch all twelve of these movies in a couple of sittings. Alien, the James Cameron-directed sequel and John McTiernan's Predator are all stone-cold classics without a doubt, but outside of those three the quality of both the Alien and Predator franchises is wildly inconsistent, to put it mildly.

At some point during Alien vs. Predator: Requiem, you may find yourself questioning the decision to dip into the entire back catalogue given how terrible it is, but with a wide array of sequels, prequels, reboots and re-imaginings that run the spectrum from chilling sci-fi to balls-to-the-wall action and back again, there's worse ways to spend a couple of days than immersing yourself in over 40 years worth of creature features.
