10 Even More Movie Scenes Shot For Real

10. The Bin Throw Took 33 Takes - Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World

Before this list gets to the exploding medical facilities and human infernos, it's first time to look at just how much effort and determination is sometimes necessary to nail something as seemingly simple as chucking a parcel into a bin.

There comes a moment during the legendary action comedy Scott Pilgrim vs. The World when Michael Cera's titular bass player is seen trying to casually sink a no-look shot after receiving a package from delivery girl Ramona Flowers.

However, as revealed in the filn's outtakes (via r/MovieDetails), this wasn't just a case of pulling the ol' throw an object out of frame and then have someone else dump what appears to be that same item at the target trick.

Nope, Cera legitimately had to pull off that rather difficult feat, and it actually ended up taking a whopping 33 attempts before the actor successfully launched the parcel into the trash can.

The moment certainly could have been achieved using a bit of subtle movie magic. But Edgar Wright was convinced his star had it in him to genuinely score an effortless three-pointer, and patiently sat through 32, often frustratingly close, misses to get this rather cool real shot.
