10 Exact Moments Fans Turned On HYPED Movies

2. Mask Off - Spider-Man: Far From Home

As the first film to follow Endgame's elegiac closing of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's vastly ambitious first chapter, Spiderman Far From Home was burdened with some serious expectations.

And the film didn't fail to live up to these high hopes for the most part, offering a fun if ultimately inconsequential outing for Tom Holland's teen hero and giving the character more room to breathe outside of his recent Avenger team ups.

Sure, there were some sketchy implications to the film's treatment of drone warfare (not, in fact, harmless fun), but this list only has so much room and there's another moment infamous for derailing this sequel.

Okay, so the Marvel iteration of Spiderman is attempting to remove itself from the shadow of both Andrew Garfield's short-lived incarnation of the character and Sam Raimi's original trilogy. But Peter whipping his mask off simply because Mysterio (sorry, spoilers) reassured him that "everyone in this room knows who you are" is glaringly out of character.

It doesn't fulfil the intended purpose of making the character seem more trusting and devil may care in this incarnation, instead making Peter come across as thoughtless and a little too gullible.
