There was an impossible amount of things wrong with the 1995 Sylvester Stallone-starring version of Judge Dredd (so brilliantly rectified by 2012's Karl Urban-starring take), one of the most abundant of which was Rob Schneider's casting as Dredd's goofball hacker sidekick, Herman "Fergee" Ferguson (whose full name is never given in the comics). Fergee actually had a pretty interesting relationship with Dredd in the source material, with Fergee initially despising him but ultimately coming to his aid when he needed it. Though Fergee does use his hacking skills to bail Sly's Dredd out at the end of the film, most of his screen time is spent just being lame comic relief. Granted, this was at a time in which Schneider wasn't particularly well known, so he didn't have quite the same grating presence that he does in much of his movies nowadays, but the shoddy scripting still made him an extremely annoying character in what was on the whole a pretty depressing outing.
